Meet Tamarra.
Tamarra Moss, owner of Defined Roots, LLC is a multi-state licensed cosmetologist who specializes in loc installation and maintenance. She is originally from Dayton, Ohio where she curated her passion for the hair and beauty industry. Being the third oldest of nine siblings; five sisters and three brothers, she naturally was able to perfect her skills for maintaining the hair of others. She is a graduate of John H. Patterson vocational high school where she studied business and marketing. Upon graduating she decided to attend Wilberforce University on a full basketball scholarship where she received her B.S. degree in Accounting.
Tamarra attended cosmetology school at Regency Beauty Institute in 2013. Tamarra obtained her cosmetology license in 2015, then in 2017 she made the choice to go into business for herself full time as a loctician.
For two years she worked under some of the most prestigious hair stylists in Dayton, OH before she decided to open her very own salon in 2019 (Defined Roots) located in Trotwood, OH.
Outside of Tamarra’s daily profession, she enjoys listening to music, traveling and just being the free spirit, she was created to be.
